About the Tour

The Arabian Gulf Adventure will take place from 23rd February to the 13th March 2009.  It will start from Doha in Qatar, travel via Abu Dhabi and Muscat to arrive in Dubai, UAE.

Qatar Airways will be the preferred carrier and are providing us very favourable rates for flights. In addition they have agreed to sponsor a number of items we shall require. The Airline flies from numerous destinations in the U.K. and Europe and also from New York, Sydney and Melbourne, and has a very high reputation for efficiency and service.

In February and March the weather in the Gulf is very pleasant with the temperature hovering between 23C and 26C.

The tour will spend five nights in Doha and arrangements had been made to stay at the Four Seasons Hotel. While in Qatar a number of events have been arranged and sponsored theme events will take place in the evenings. The people of Qatar and the Qatar Tourist Board will play a large part in making our stay in Qatar enjoyable and memorable.

From Qatar the Tour is proceeding to Abu Dhabi in the U.A.E. via a short stretch through Saudi Arabia between the two borders. Because of the distance and length of the journey to Abu Dhabi, arrangements have been made for the tour to overnight at Jebel Dhanna.  In Abu Dhabi arrangements have been made to accommodate participants at the magnificent Emirates Palace Hotel. We shall remain at this location for three nights.

From Abu Dhabi we shall drive to Muscat via Al Ain and over the mountains to Nizwa.  Again because of the length of the journey to Muscat, arrangements have been made to remain overnight at the Golden Tulip Hotel in Nizwa.  This will give everyone the opportunity to explore historical Nizwa before proceeding to Muscat. To give the participants ample time to explore the beautiful scenery of the Oman and to visit the numerous places of great interest the tour will remain there for five days at the Shangri-la Hotel Barr Al Jissah Resort. In addition to the splendid driving opportunities to places of interest, various excursions can be arranged including whale watching and deep sea fishing trips for those who have the desire and interest.

After our exciting stay in Muscat we shall proceed to Dubai for three nights.  Arrangements have been made to be accommodated at the spectacular Atlantis Hotel, at the Palm Jumeriah.
